My mental health's been taking a bit of a hit recently, as where I live is pulled from pillar to post by scandal after bad omen after darkening cloud after... well, you get it.
I'm reminded of Dan Olson's I Can't Stop Watching Contagion (link below). I both recognise the futility of pressing my face against the belt sander of wider news, but understand that staying informed is the responsible thing to do, so... what do?
Well, fill my life with joy to outweigh it, which is an effort that meets with varying degrees of success. I'll keep trying.
